The FAMILY RIGHTS ASSOCIATION was founded in Berlin in September 2000 by Family Law controversial Legal Consultant Dr. Emmy D. Bezzina who in the Republic of Malta is a well known advocate, actor, broadcaster and highly involved in matters that society prefers to leave under the carpet.

The objectives of the FAMILY RIGHTS ASSOCIATION are the following:

1. To enhance the concept that THE FAMILY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NUCLEUS OF ANY SOCIETY.

2. By FAMILY we must understand its extended definition in the pluralistic world we live in.

3. FAMILY RIGHTS incorporate and include whatever is regarded as whole- some to the FAMILY, for instance a dissolved marriage followed by another marriage is to be the yardstick rather than cohabitation and chaos in a freelance society.

4. Promolgation and codification of FAMILY RIGHTS and FAMILY LAW.

5. To enfasize the rights of children, their accessibility at all times to their parents and it be made a serious criminal offence for either of the parents or their relatives to instigate against the other parent.
