No change to the lives of people in Malta would be brought about if the Divorce were to be formally legally introduced in my country. The reason is that the introduction of Divorce in Malta has been a long-winded affair because of the double edged face which bot major political parties and our “leading” politicians portray on one side of defence as a value to be protected in this “catholic” country namely the indissolubility of Marriage, and on the other side which is the real reason is their absolute fear of not being re-elected to the House of Representatives....
