THE
DIVORCE ISSUE - THE STUPID DEBATE

Once
again the patient and tolerant,objective and unmanipulative, logical and
lucid section of our people has been insulted by the idiots who believe
are our leaders in yet another stupid debate that has been in apt carnivalesque
style regaled to us in a recent public forum on Saturday, February 6th,
2010.The event was a non-starter from the word GO as it was organized by a group which allegedly does not have divorce among its beliefs. Hence the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition should never have partook in this social farce.The occasion only served to keep enhancing their lack of credibility in the field.
I was busy on other more relevant matters, so I went by the reports I read and the comments I heard.The more revealing of the latter related to the apparent transparency of our so-called, political spearheads in their open insincerity on the issue: as political leaders,they are aware that Divorce is not an issue but a reality that they must face, accept and implement. It is a State matter that no "spiritual" organization should be allowed to meddle with,as the State`s interests and those of its lay people are not the business of self-made monseigneurs who indeed represent no one, not even themselves.
Lawrence and Joseph are aware that the Maltese Family is in a disastrous state because of the malfunctioning of a Family Court in not having the possibility to pronounce on the dissolution of a valid marriage, an aspect of our way of life that is deliberately being shyed from for the politically selfish reasons of the two major parties. The people are fed up with being used by idiots. The individual exigencies of our people in these intimate and personal matters have been for many years now been ignored. It is time that liers and hypocrites, selfish and arrogant, presumptious and idiotic representatives of the people be bowed out of our House of Representatives.
Our Constitution has to be updated to be in line with the anti-discrimination clauses it embraces [ no organization should be positively discriminated against another ]; it must be brought in line with the European Convention and the EU Charter.The stupid divorce debate is now only down to discrimination as any Maltese EU Citizen can go and procure a divorce in line with the law of any of the other 26 EU Member States. Malta cannot simply do anything about it. The Divorce Judgement will then be registered here in Malta in accordance with BRUSSELS II Regaultion. No Minister can interfere, much less any scarlet-attired person!
Hence the point is about the HAVEs and the HAVE NOTs,about those who can afford to fly out and fork unnecessary money to obtain "a fundamental right", and those who for one reason or other,cannot undertake such a venture into the individual`s intimate realms. Spiritual [ sic!! ] Organizations` beliefs do not come within this framework of logical thought and lucid perception. This outright discrimination merits a local Case against the hypocretical political authorities where they should be sued for damages. Let the People be respected by their idiotic Representatives or else let the latter bow out from duties and responsibilities they are unable, unwilling, incompetent and too cowardly to handle and obligingly implement.
The purposely long-drawn arguement that the country needs more discussions, debates, dissections before it can conclude about divorce is as stinkingly stale as doses of urine on clothes that have not been a long time awashed. Self-proclaimed celibates [ ?? ] must not be allowed to distract the Country anymore by their ridiculous, insincere, selfish and unreasonable gibberish ( it is not an arguement anymore as it defies logic ) utterances! The current political leadership are afraid to focus on the realities of the people they claim they represent:everyone is aware of this, each one has long time concluded why...........then why do these political hunchbacks not go to Notre Dame?
