Tsunami Nature Call
By Emmy D. BEZZINA

May be had Man in his arrogance and pride been a little bit more humble and observed with his keen, scrutinizing eyes the movement of Nature around him in the days prior to Boxing Day December 26th, 2004, then maybe a substantial number of the 50, 000 children calculated dead and the 100, 000 other persons declared dead, plus the many (maybe much more) of those dead but not formally so declared, might have been spared their human lives by due warnings being given!

There is one apparent fact of a number of natives on an Indian Island where the tribal inhabitants of this island apparently managed to preserve their human lives simply by observing with their keen and scrutinizing eyes, the movement of the birds around them and other sea creatures which made them decide to go further inland and climb as high as they could, and this probably saved their human lives!

Similarly could have occurred and again one can only speculate but maybe a substantial number of the 150, 000 declared dead and many, many more undeclared dead could have been saved had man literally decided to go back to Nature, observe Nature, follow Nature, and accept in his life the Laws of Nature within the parameters not of might being right, or the law of the jungle, but the law of nature, natural law, which has as a basic element the preservation of what we have, first and foremost, basic to us in human terms, namely physical life!

As so many hundreds of thousands grieve and despair almost beyond consolation about the inevitable that occurred, let Man ponder on this fundamental issue to each and every one of us: by preserving nature, Man will first and foremost be preserving himself, herself and themselves: sic et semplicter!

Yours Truly:
