The MARRIAGE / DIVORCE ISSUE

There are obviously many interests to safeguard and protect in the Marriage / Divorce Issue. However, the main interest of all - that of the Individual - is being blatantly and deliberately downgraded by naturally those who have a priority to protect the Institutions,notoriously the Catholic Curia [ lose Marriage and it might just as well disband on ! ] , the mentally-manipulated and those who require the votes of the latter species.

The Catholic Community of these Islands,barring the more stupid, do not give a hoot as to what their Bishops state or say . They ignore completely the many mettle less, absolutely unnecessary members of the clergy and their associates. No need to comment on the ever-increasing numbers of non-practicing Catholics [ baptized forcefully ] , other religious denominations or thoroughly - liberated persons in our country. These fellow humans by and large have opted to choose the life style and mode that best accommodates their current needs.

In this social spectrum, our State must act and act fast if the situation is not to become more chaotic, creating and causing negative consequences on both State and its Society. It has become acceptable even in our manipulated Society that Marriage and Divorce are two sides of the same coin . Annulments whether civilly or ecclesiastically are anachronisms in today`s world . Legal Separations have no true bearing. We all somehow suffer but that is part of a human`s existence package!

The Family Court long in becoming a reality despite due admonitions from individuals like myself is already much in need of a legal and factual restructure and a complete overhaul. The Curia and its Ecclesiastical Annulments Tribunals do not have a place in our pluralistic and cosmopolitan EU Malta. Individuals need to have a long-awaited remedy to regularize their real and legal lives : imagine a married couple not having communicated at all with one another for two whole decades ( and in some instances even more ) with our Courts still pronouncing them as married as it was considered that the Marriage had been a valid one at the outset!!! Anyone can tell you that is not a Marriage and yet the status quo declares otherwise.

Let us stop living HYPOCRISY, let us stop giving out ridiculous Speeches and proposing Idiotic Suggestions , let us just SHUT UP and introduce a local Divorce Law immediately. Otherwise the People should opt to go and marry for the time being in another EU Country, apply for Divorce if deemed necessary in some EU Country, and ignore all those who cannot make up their minds or who have a vested interest in more ways than one [ no surprise how many of these parasites we have crawling among us ] to appear self-righteous hiding their stench in the process!
