Purportedly,the
final message of JOHN PAUL II before setting off formally into the Spirit
World was:LOVE CONVERTS HEARTS & BRINGS PEACE,though we were not informed
in which language he actually uttered this message or if indeed this was
an exact reproduction of His Holiness' final message.
Accepting this message as it was passed over to us,it indicates a precise
sequence and two levels of structuring the interpretation of this cryptic
message:there has to be LOVE,HEARTS,and a combination of Love + Hearts
so that PEACE will be the result. This is not an easy do-it-yourself formula
because it is a message which humanity must not only receive and carefully
encrypt, but at the end of the line,it must equally absorb and implement
it.Otherwise,there cannot be PEACE.
The first important word is LOVE:was not this equally the first word in
the vocabularly of all the spiritual personalities that left their indelible
impact on world society? Was not this the examplary message in life and
death of the Pope`s direct superior,Our Lord Jesus Christ? Hence the almost
inevitable conclusion is that the world society as a global village,as
one humanity has not yet learned that without LOVE,there can never be
converted hearts and that without the latter there can never be PEACE.
By LOVE evidently we have to reflect whether or not we are prepared to
LIVE FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS and this heart-founded commitment must be
put into effect by one and all, throughout human society, irrespective in
which quarter of the globe:definitely as we all immediately react that
this within the actual world perspective it is an impossible task, because
a vast percentage of human society is not prone, not even inclined to ponder
and reflect on this beautiful principle of living for the sake of others, let
alone actuating this noble principle in real terms!
If we conclude that this is impossible to actuate, then LOVE will never
be achieved, HEARTS will never be converted and PEACE will never be achieved.Within
this context, which most of us might be stating that such is life, what
purpose are all the tributes which have tsunamid over the efforts and
contributions made by the late pontiff, especially those eminating from
world leaders who in their hearts already are very much aware that they
are not disposed to live for the sake of others which is what true love
is indeed all about ?
We are still in the very first word LOVE of the late Pope`s last message
and we appear to be in a serious predicament because if we do not in practise
surmount this first hurdle, then we know that PEACE is still very far off,nay
almost impossible to achieve. Are we to be so negative and pessimistic
in our attitudes or are we prepared to accept that we are one community, one
humanity, all co-owners of the world`s resources, all gifted in one way
or other, all prepared to share the common wealth of our world notto fatten
our pockets but to contribute to the common welfare of humanity in our
global village!
This is the initial objective and once we have achieved it,we would
just have commenced to fulfil this important legacy bequeathed to us by
JOHN PAUL II in his final message,in his final moments before he blessed
us and departed! No wonder that shortly before he humanely died, again he
purportedly uttered that we should not be weeping for him. Will humanity
ever
learn the lesson?
